Khao Lak

Quiet bathing resort in the midst of tropical natural beauty

The beach town Khao Lak is about 40 miles north of Phuket. From Khao Lak you can dive around the Similan islands, a privilege formerly only offered by live-aboards.

Koh Phuket

Touristic point of departure of boat trips and live-aboards

Koh Phuket has its own international airport and is therefore well accessible. For that reason the island is suitable as a point of departure for live-aboards to Mu Koh Similian and Mu Koh Surin.

Mu Koh Similan

Het beste wat Thailand te bieden heeft

In 1982 the waters around archipelago Muh Koh Similan were turned into an underwater park. The only permanent inhabitants are the supervisors and the archipelago is only accessible by boat.

Mu Koh Surin

Plenty of turtles and whale sharks

The archipelago Mu Koh Surin is situated within the marine park with the same name. You can spend the night on the islands or visit them by live-aboards.

Koh Lanta

Suitable for children and good starting point for daytrips

Koh Lanta offers a calm alternative for beach holidays close to Phuket, suitable for children. The archipelago lies close to popular dive spots.

Koh Tao

Backpackers nirvana and license factory

On the island Koh Tao – also referred to as Ko Tao – it’s all about diving. Nowhere in the world are obtained more PADI Open Water certificates. Little fault can be found with Koh Tao. The water, the diving costs, the life on the shore: it’s all great.

Large protected diving paradise

Bonaire has made one of the most beautiful underwater area’s into a large ecological reservation and is therefore very popular amongst divers.

About Bonaire
Bonaire is with about 11,000 inhabitants much less populated than its larger brother Curaçao. The island gives the good example concerning nature conservancy: the whole island is protected area. Divers pay an entrance contribution and are to attend an orientation session. Two area’s are forbidden for divers: north of Boca Kayon to Boca Slagbaai and west of Karpata. Popular dive spots are regularly closed to relieve the coral and give it a chance to recuperate. Most hotels and resorts are in or close to the capital city Kralendijk

Diving in Bonaire
Most dive spots are in the sheltered south- and westcoast, at the other side of the island there is not much to do anyhow. At Bonaire you can dive unaccompanied. You can just rent a couple of cylinders and enter the water at some spot. The dive spots are indicated by the markings on yellow stones along the road. Best is to rent a pick-up truck. Boats depart daily to the popular dive spots. This is the only way to dive on the many dive spots around the satellite island Klein Bonaire.
