June to September is the best time to dive the Mediterranean Sea. The average temperature in this period is 25ºC (77ºF) and the wind is moderate. It is however possible to dive every day of the year. The only spoilers are rain and wind - which will decrease visibility - and spring has the most of both. |

Enjoy the beach and boat diving
L’Estartit is well-known as the beach resort with the most beautiful beaches of the Costa Brava. Additionally, it is also the best base to explore the underwater splendour of the Medes Islands.
About L’Estartit
L’Estartit was formerly a Catalan fishing village on the Costa Brava which has developed into a tourist attraction. In the pedestrian-only streets of the centre you will find shops and restaurants aimed at the tourists. Here not everything is about the nightlife, as is the case in many places on the Costa Brava. Apart from the cosy bars and outdoor cafes you can also enjoy the great outdoors. L’Estartit is blessed with wooded surrounds and broad beaches. Besides, the nature reserve around the Medes Islands (Iles Medes) is not far from the coast.
