Mu Koh Similan
In 1982 the waters around archipelago Muh Koh Similan were turned into an underwater park. The only permanent inhabitants are the supervisors and the archipelago is only accessible by boat.
Varied diving possibilities
The coastline in the east is protected and offers sand beaches and gently sloping reefs. The rougher west is rocky. Because of strong currents and rolling stones, an exciting underwater landscape came into existence with tunnels, bows, caves and caverns. The diversity of hard and soft corals is breathtaking. Around Mu Koh Similan you can find giant seaturtles, violinrays and giant mantas. It is possible to spend the night in simple tents or cabins on the shore. Mu Koh Similan Underwater Park is accessible by live-aboard from Phuket and by daytrip or live-aboard from Khao Lak.
