Nuweiba
Nuweiba offers the perfect opportunity for a luxury holiday among the reefs in the Gulf of Akaba. However, a true diving destination Nuweiba is not.
About Nuweiba
Nuweiba was once a northern Bedouin settlement in the Sinai. During the last few decades the town has flourished into a seaside and harbour resort. Many beachside hotels and resorts are situated along the coast. Here you will find more luxury than Dahab with fewer crowds than Sharm el-Sheikh. From Nuweiba you can charter a boat to Akaba in Jordan, or a bus can take you to Dahab and on to Cairo. Nuweiba is a two hour drive from the airport near Sharm el-Sheikh.
Diving Nuweiba
Of the coastal Egyptian dive sites in the Sinai – Sharm el-Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba – the last one is the least interesting. This brings with it a plus point: fewer fellow divers. There is still plenty to see, especially off Tarabin Beach and Ras Shaitan.
