Dive into the water or nightlife

Curaçao is the all-round diving paradise of the Antilles. All types of dives can be made, by both beginner and expert-divers. On land the possibilities are equally divers.

About Curaçao
Curaçao is the largest island of the Dutch Antilles and has about 135,000 inhabitants. The historical and cultural capital Willemstad offers a dazzling nightlife and many places worth seeing. Add this up to the excellent restaurants and the delightful climate and you understand why this destination is popular by both divers (and snorkelers) and non-divers. Curaçao is famous for its clear waters, with average visibility between 80 and 140 feet. Colourful reefs, in many cases reachable from the shore, steep drop-offs and varied marine life like seahorses, eels and sea turtles can be admired from the always warm water. Curaçao has an international airport with flights arriving daily from the US and the Netherlands.

Diving Curaçao
Curaçao has about 80 good spots, most of them easily accessible from the shore. Readers of Scuba Diving magazine voted Oswaldo’s Drop Off the number 3 best shoredive spot in the world. Several ship wrecks at shallow depths are easily reachable and brightly coloured fish and reefs make night diving a must do. At some places there can be a strong current, which makes these spots recommended for experienced divers only. A very special place is Mushroom Forest, where you will find enormous star corals with mushroom shaped formations. Playa Jeremi is a quiet sandy beach with an easy access to the reef. Here you can immediately find fantastic corals for snorkelers and novices, or farther off the shore the outer reefs for more advanced divers.
