About Drake Bay
Drake Bay – also known as Bahia Drake – lies at the northern point of the Osa peninsula in the southwest of Costa Rica. The large part of this peninsula is made out of ecological reserves, under which National Park Corcovado. The most common way to reach Drake Bay is by boat. It will take you over the river from the town of Sierpe to Drake Bay. Another option is to take a ride in a Landrover from Puerto Jiménez. Most hotels in Drake are eco lodges where you can buy a package deal for several days.

About Playa del Coco
One of the biggest reasons for the popularity of this beach in Guanacaste, is its accessibility. Whereas many places in Costa Rica are difficult to reach, Playa del Coco is close to an international airport (Liberia) and has paved roads with bus services from San Jose. The hills are filled with hotels and shacks and at night there is plenty going on in the little town.

Guanacaste - the most northwestern province of Costa Rica - is ideal for whom apart from diving likes beach holidays, trekking through the rainforest and sports like rafting, surfing and windsurfing. The area is an ecological goldmine with huge forests, volcanoes and an enormous amount of wild animal species. In the city of Liberia there’s an international airport that hosts flights from all over the world, but of course mostly from the US.

Puerto Viejo is a place with a strong Jamaican influence. In the streets you hear reggae music everywhere and the spicy smells fill your senses as soon as you leave your hotel. Most of the tourists who visit Puerto Viejo don’t come to dive. Enjoying the Caribbean past-times of relaxing and partying: that’s what it is all about.
