About Playa del Carmen
Playa del Carmen, in short Playa, has been the point of departure for boats to Cozumel for centuries. The former fishers’ village for that matter has been ‘discovered’ by tourists on their way to that island. The resort is a quieter and more distinguished alternative for Cancun. The beach is wider and the sea calmer. Many resorts maintain an all-inclusive formula. Playa has a shopping street and some cosy restaurants, but most tourists stay the on and around their resort for the whole of their vacation.

About La Paz
The town of La Paz lies on the west coast of the Baja California Peninsula, in a large bay in the Sea of Cortez. Tourism is an important source of income, yet the inhabitants do their best to preserve the old traditions. The restaurants and bars in the town are frequented by the locals as well as the tourists. The most beautiful beaches are to the north of La Paz, with both long sandy beaches and small inlets. You can fly to either Mexico City or Guadalajara, from whence it is still a 2 to 3 hour flight to La Paz.
